Dr. Anisa Ismail
Former Ph.D Student

Anisa Ismail received her B.A. in Biology and Spanish from Southwestern University. She was the first student to get her Ph.D. from the Hooper lab. Anisa's favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany's and she loves photography. One of her goals in life is to get a stamp from every continent in her passport and/or be able to speak a language from each of those continents. She is currently doing a post-doctoral fellowship in Bonnie Bassler's lab at Princeton University.

Dr. Rebecca Lehotzky
Former Ph.D Student

Becky Lehotzky earned her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, and went on to receive her Ph.D. from UT Southwestern in 2010. Her research focused on peptidoglycan recognition by bactericidal lectins. Outside of the lab, Becky enjoys running, knitting and reading.
